The Allen Eagles will head out to take on the Hebron Hawks at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Allen will be looking to extend their current 18-game winning streak.
While Allen’s win against Plano East wasn’t quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Eagles had just enough and edged out the Panthers 2-1 on Friday. Those two runs were actually the fewest the Eagles have put up all season, but given the result they’re probably not too concerned.
Yahmadi Morgan spent all seven innings on the mound, and it’s clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn’t given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.
Addison King

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Addison King, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she’s played.
Meanwhile, Hebron unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of Flower Mound by a score of 2-1.
Hebron also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in: Kate Buesing gave up just two earned runs on five hits.
At the plate, Hebron saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Abby Chunn, who went 1-for-3 with one run.
Allen’s victory bumped their record up to 25-3. As for Hebron, their defeat dropped their record down to 22-9.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Thursday. Allen hasn’t had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 1.8 home runs per game. However, it’s not like Hebron struggles in that department as they’ve been averaging 0.6 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it’ll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Allen might still be hurting after the 7-0 loss they got from Hebron when the teams last played back in March of 2023. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We’ll find out soon enough.
