LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – Patchy fog greeted early risers across the region Tuesday morning, but it wont stick around long, as it’s already beginning to thin and clear out. Conditions are not expected to worsen significantly through the morning hours, so no dense fog alert will be issued.

By late morning, fog should clear from northwest to southeast as winds shift to the southwest. That clearing will allow temperatures to climb into the upper 70s to mid 80s by Tuesday afternoon, a welcome warmup after overnight lows in the 50s.
