With another busy week of high school sports on the horizon, here are the Plano Star Courier’s top games to watch for this week and how to catch the action live.

Volleyball

Plano East vs. Hebron

6:30 p.m. Friday at McKinney High School

The Lady Panthers draw former district foe Hebron in one of the top bi-district playoff matches in the area. Both teams advanced to the regional semifinals last season and return plenty of experience within their respective cores, including a heavyweight hitter matchup featuring East’s Simone Heard and Hebron’s Taylor Johnson. While the Lady Hawks hold a sizeable lead in the head-to-head series between these two over the final 15 years, East has managed to defeat Hebron in three of their past four meetings.

Football

Plano vs. Prosper Rock Hill

7 p.m. Friday at Clark Stadium

For the second straight year, the race for the final two playoff spots in District 6-6A is rife with drama down the stretch, and Friday’s matchup between the Wildcats and Blue Hawks will play a pivotal part in shaping that picture. These two were in a similar spot heading into last season’s meeting, which was won by Rock Hill 24-21 and loomed large in the program clinching its first-ever playoff berth. Plano looks to return the favor on Friday in a matchup of teams separated by just a half-game in the standings.
