EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — An El Paso Police officer was arrested for driving while intoxicated on Friday, April 17, according to jail records obtained by KTSM 9 News.
Jasson Isrrael Medina Rivera was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility, but was released on a $2,500 cash surety bond the same day, according to jail records.
In a recent city employee list obtained by KTSM, Medina Rivera was posted as an officer with EPPD.
El Paso Police confirmed that he was a police officer and he has been relieved of his duties. He was with the department with one year and five months, the Police Department said.
KTSM has reached out to the El Paso Police Department for a statement on the matter. As well, KTSM has requested for the arrest affidavit.
