He will no longer return for Tuesday’s game after entering concussion protocol, per Shams Charania of ESPN.

The French superstar landed on the ground and slammed his face first with 8:57 left in the second quarter.

Wembanyama was posting up against Jrue Holiday. But as the Spurs big man spun, Holiday took a “Pulling the chair” technique that caused Wembanyama to fall.

He sat momentarily until he immediately went up after the play and ran towards the locker room.

Wembanyama dropped five points and four rebounds in 12 minutes before leaving.

Wembanyama’s condition will continue to be monitored as the series progresses.

With their franchise center no longer available to return, Luke Kornet and Kelly Olynyk are set for a major step-up in dealing against the Blazers.

The Spurs eventually came up short in surviving against the Blazers without Wembanyama, enduring a 106-103 Game 2 loss.
