Corpus Christi police have arrested a man in connection with a shooting that left a 17-year-old dead earlier this month on the city’s north side.
Police say robbery and homicide detectives identified the suspect in the April 15 shooting near Weber Road and Tripoli Street, where the teen was shot and killed.
On Tuesday at about 11 p.m., the Corpus Christi Gang Unit and U.S. Marshals Service located and arrested the suspect, identified as Jusiah Ortiz, near Columbia Street and Bloomington Street.
Police say Ortiz was taken in for questioning and later booked into the City Detention Center on a murder warrant.
Officials say the investigation remains ongoing.
