Everman Police say the incident happened in the 500 block of Georgetown Drive early Wednesday morning.
EVERMAN, Texas — A man has been killed, and another person has been arrested after a deadly early-morning shooting, Everman Police say.Â
Police say officers were called to a home in the 500 block of Georgetown Drive at 6:05 a.m. for a disturbance.Â
In a press release, officials say as dispatch from the Tarrant County Regional Communications Center got information about the disturbance from a caller, they heard multiple gunshots over the phone.Â
Police say officers found a man lying in the road with multiple gunshot wounds. Everman Fire Department EMS provided emergency treatment on the victim and took him to Texas Health Huguely Hospital where he died.Â
Officials say they found a male suspect and took him into custody several blocks away from the scene of the shooting. Police say they also were able to locate the gun the suspect used and discarded as he fled the scene.Â
Police say this was an isolated incident stemming from a domestic relationship; there is no outstanding threat or ongoing concern for public safety.Â
The identity of the deceased will be released by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office.Â
