EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A spokesperson with the El Paso Fire Department told KTSM 9 News that the Central fire that burned a vacant building on Monday, April 20, is being investigated as arson.
As KTSM previously reported, the fire happened shortly before 6:30 a.m. on April 20 along the 1000 block of East Yandell.

When crews arrived, they saw the blaze and smoke coming from the second floor of the vacant apartment building. Fire officials say firefighters were able to control the flames within 35 minutes.

No injuries were reported.
EPFD said the case is an active arson investigation. This is a developing story and will update you once we learn more.
