The event brings families and the community together for fundraising, fellowship and friendly competition at Oso Beach Municipal Golf Course.
CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — St. Pius Catholic School is preparing for its 23rd Annual Golf Classic, an event that brings together families, alumni, and community members for a day of fellowship, friendly competition, and fundraising support for the school.
Principal Beth Hinojosa said the event remains an important tradition for the school community. The event is scheduled for Monday, April 27 at 8 a.m.
“This is our 23rd annual Golf Classic and we’ll be doing this on Monday,” Hinojosa said. “We’re very excited because it’s going to be at Oso this year. It’s going to be a fun event, and it supports our school and our families. It’s a great time for our community to come out and enjoy each other and enjoy some golf.”
Organizers say the tournament includes multiple prizes and activities for participants and supporters.
“We have a lot of prizes, I think about 19,” Melissa Wenick said. “We have Yeti cups, gift cards, rounds of golf, and we also have a silent auction this year with really good prizes.”
While team spots for this year are already filled, organizers say the community is still encouraged to attend and support the event.
“We want to thank our sponsors and all of our supporters this year,” Wenick added.
