Galleria Dallas is getting ready for a makeover. The longstanding, 1.4 million-square-foot shopping center is set to undergo $4.2 million in renovations as it welcomes eight new retailers, relocations, and significant renovations.

Construction is set to begin soon on the mall’s $4.2 million facelift. The renovations will span roughly 31,000 square feet. A bulk of which will be concentrated on the Northwest Entry and Plaza by the North Italia entrance.

Selective demolition will take place, removing an existing tenant space. Renovations will also see a modernized facade with exterior facade finishes. Officials also plan to refresh the entry plaza.

According to reports, officials plan to start construction mid May of this year, with an estimated completion date of late January 2027.

The $4.2 million makeover is part of a larger effort officials are calling the “New Era” of Galleria Dallas. Earlier this March, the mall’s operator Trademark Property Company (Trademark) announced the addition of eight retailers, store relocations, and other property renovations that include the remodeling of its ice rink.

“Our focus on upgrading the tenancy and integrating activated public space that enhances community engagement has heightened the center’s role as a key destination for locals and visitors alike,” Trademark stated in a press release.

“Thoughtful evolution of retail destinations ensures they remain places people want to return to again and again.”

The press release notes the high-profile opening of Netflix House this past winter, as one of only two in the country. Other recent openings include H&M Home, UNIQLO, and POP Mart as well as include ALO, Urban Planet, Aritzia, Rolife, Helzberg 1915, Patissery, and Watson.

This coming May, the mall will see the departure of its longtime tenant, Nordstrom.
