LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – United Supermarkets teamed up with Lubbock ISD to celebrate Earth Day and student creativity.
The United Family has partnered with the district for several years on the Earth Day art initiative. The company donates paper bags to select schools for students to decorate.
The bags are then given back to stores in celebration of Earth Day. The program evolved into an art contest with hundreds of bags donated.
One student’s artwork gets selected to be featured in stores.
