EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — An arrest has been made at Franklin High School, following the lockdown protocol that was initiated on Thursday morning, April 23.
Franklin High School was placed on lockdown protocol “out of an abundance of caution” due to an incident in the area, according to a statement to KTSM 9 News from the El Paso Independent School District.
“EPISD Police and law enforcement partners have responded promptly and are investigating, and we will keep our community updated as appropriate,” the statement read in part. “The safety and well-being of our students and staff remain our top priority. We are grateful for our community’s support and trust.”

Vehicles belonging to El Paso Police Department and El Paso Independent School District Police Department were spotted by KTSM cameras in front of the school.

EPPD spokesman, Adrian Cisneros, said the police officers responded to the 900 N. Resler Boulevard on a disturbance call around 9:06 a.m.
