Judson ISD said the investigation included a review of administrative performance and district operations. The board cited “serious findings,” including financial mismanagement, a drop in academic performance, and failures to follow safety and reporting laws.

Fields withdrew his request for his right to an independent hearing, and the board then moved forward with termination.

Judson ISD said the termination action does not include a buyout, meaning all pay and benefits associated with the superintendent’s contract stop immediately.
