Meta Lab store at Houston Galleria to be first location in Texas

Meta, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram, will be opening a Meta Lab store at the Galleria later this year.

“We’re excited to bring Meta Lab to Texas for the first time,” a Meta spokesperson said. “Houston’s Galleria is the perfect home for our next location, and we’re on track to open later next year.”

Meta Lab locations allow people to try Meta products, such as AI Glasses, in a retail setting.

There are currently five Meta Lab locations open across the country in Burlingame, California, Honolulu, Las Vegas, Los Angeles and New York City, per the company’s website.

“Our approach to experiential retail is rooted in culture, creativity, and self-expression, and we’re committed to building a space that reflects the Houston community,” the spokesperson said. “We look forward to welcoming people into a new experience to get hands-on with our AI glasses and VR products, and we’ll share more details as we get closer to opening.”
