EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — The University of Texas at El Paso released a complete Fan Guide for the upcoming BTS concerts held at the Sun Bowl in May.
The Fan Guide outlines what guests can bring, parking availability, and new venue policies. You can see and download the full guide at the bottom of this article.
Timeline: There will be designated time check-ins. Fans with VIP tickets will be able to start lining up at 10 a.m. Fans with general tickets will be able to start lining up starting at 3 p.m., depending on which gate. General doors will be open at 5:30 p.m.
General Information: There will be a variety of service booths outside and inside the stadium. There will be BTS official merch booths, cooling stations, donation bins, medical booths, info service tents, restrooms, and free water stations both inside and outside the stadium.
Fan Plaza: Fan Plaza is a space dedicated to people to gather and enjoy fan activities before the show. It will be held at the North Gate, where vehicles will not be allowed. There will be water stations, food trucks, DJ’s, medical and info booths, and merch booths at Fan Plaza.
Merch Booths: There will be four merch booths located throughout the perimeter of the stadium. They will be located at Glory Field, Miner Alley, Don Haskins Center, and the SB7 parking lot. Merch booths will also be available prior to the concert beginning on April 30.
Gates: There will be a total of five gates through which fans can enter the stadium. They will be the Main North Gate, West Gate, South West Gate, and South East Gate. All gates except the South West Gate will be ADA accessible.
WiFi ticket download: All gates will have a Wi-Fi-enhanced system for fans to use to download their tickets. UTEP officials said the WiFi system will allow you to use the WiFi for five minutes to download your ticket before getting kicked out of the WiFi.
Parking: There will only be parking sales on the day of the event on a first come first serve basis. Officials said there will be no sale of parking prior to the day of the event. Officials said credit card will be the only form of payment for parking. ADA parking will be available at certain parking lots but fans will need to show their ADA parking placards or license plates.
Rideshare: There will be one designated area for rideshare drop-off and pick-up. It will be at the SB 11 Parking Lot located at 3333 N. Mesa Street and Kern Drive.
Public Transportation: Public transportation will be available for the concert. The El Paso Streetcar will extend its service until midnight, and rides are FREE. Sun Metro will have several routes that can get fans to the Sun Bowl.
Parent Lounge: A designated lounge will be available for parents and family members who wish to remain on-site during the shows. It will be located at the Union Building, East 2nd floor.
ADA Accommodations: There will be sign language interpreters in areas inside the stadium, guest services tents at certain gates, and ADA parking available. Clear Bag Policy: UTEP officials emphasized a strict, clear bag policy for all attendees. Guests are allowed to bring clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC bags no larger than 12” x 6” x 12”, as well as one-gallon clear freezer bags. Small clutch bags approximately the size of a hand are also permitted. Medical bags will be allowed following inspection and approval by security personnel. However, all other types of bags — including backpacks, purses, mesh bags, and tinted plastic bags — are prohibited.
Prohibited Items: Among the items prohibited are flags, banners, and signs larger than 11″x 17, poles and sticks, tripods, “selfie sticks,” laser pens, and DSLR cameras, among other items. See the full list below.

UTEP officials said it’s prohibited for people to climb the mountain and said law enforcement would monitor the area, and non-compliance may result in trespassing.
The BTS concert will be held on May 2 and 3.
