Police say a 19-year-old man, Sebastian Carrillo Sosa, has been arrested and charged with murder.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Corpus Christi police say a suspect has been arrested in connection to a deadly shooting on South Staples St.
19-year-old Sebastian Carrillo Sosa is now charged with murder and unlawful carrying of a weapon.
According to the Corpus Christi Police Department, the shooting happened just after 5:30 p.m. Thursday in the 5400 block of South Staples St., outside Mr. Nice Guys smoke shop and a nearby food truck.
When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound and immediately began life-saving efforts. He was taken to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Preliminary information suggests a possible robbery took place and a weapon was produced during the incident.
Several people were detained at the scene as detectives worked to gather information, and witnesses were later interviewed at police headquarters.
Police say the case appears to be isolated, and the investigation remains ongoing.
