A man was killed after being struck by an 18-wheeler along Interstate 35 on Friday, April 24, according to San Antonio police. The crash, reported at 4:42 a.m., occurred between Harlan and Division Avenues on San Antonio’s Southside, and traffic was backed up to Zarzamora Street, according to SigAlert.
Police say a man in his 30s jumped over the center median into the northbound lanes of I-35, then was hit and killed by an 18-wheeler. The San Antonio Police Department and the San Antonio Fire Department responded to the scene.
As of writing, the investigation has been cleared, though drivers can still expect slow traffic backed up to the Military Drive exit. According to SAPD, no criminal charges are pending. MySA also reached out to SAFD for more information but did not immediately receive a response.
