GEORGETOWN, Texas — A person wanted on a felony warrant was taken into custody Wednesday after barricading inside a residence in a Georgetown neighborhood, police said.
The Georgetown Police Department said the person was arrested without incident around 12:41 p.m., ending a standoff that began earlier in the day in the 200 block of Whispering Wind in the Sun City area.

The Central Texas Regional SWAT Team was called to the scene to assist in resolving the situation.
Police said there was no threat to the public during the incident but asked residents to avoid the area while officers worked.
The department did not immediately release the person’s identity or details about the felony warrant. No injuries were reported.
