WACO, Texas – The Texas Tech track and field team wrapped up day one of the Michael Johnson Invite Friday evening at Clyde Hart Track & Field Stadium.

A limited number of field and running athletes competed on the first day of the annual invite. Jackson Bragg finished third in the men’s pole vault clearing 5.51m (18-1). In the men’s discus, Tech went 2-3 led by Reggie Hays Johnson who threw 53.8mm (176-9). The women’s discus saw McKenzie Davis and Amori Pierson with the 1-2 finish. Davis landed a mark of 54.00m (177-2).

On the track, Jenna Carter placed fourth in the 5k with a time of 17:22.38. Anita Afrifa highlighted the 200m, placing third with a time of 23.30 (2.4w).
