The New York Jets drafted Clemson quarterback and former Westlake High School star Cade Klubnik No. 110 in the fourth round of the 2026 NFL draft.
The former five-star recruit was the No. 2 quarterback prospect in the country per 247Sports’ composite rankings when he signed with Clemson in 2022. After helping Westlake win three straight state championships from 2019-21, he earned MVP honors in the 2022 ACC championship game, led the Tigers to the 2024 College Football Playoff and had his finest season in 2025, passing for 3,639 yards and 36 touchdowns to six interceptions.
The second-team All-ACC pick was projected to be a late-draft prospect. The 6-foot-2, 207-pound quarterback was largely durable in his college career, but did battle a series of injuries his final season. As a senior he set Clemson passing records for career attempts and completions.
At Westlake, Klubnik was 27-0 as a starter and the last of his three state titles came against a Southlake Carroll team in 2021 that was led by future Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers. Klubnik was the American-Statesman’s 2021 Central Texas player of the year and also was Gatorade’s Texas player of the year.
