The explosions, which occurred Tuesday evening near Preston Hollow Drive and Thousand Oaks Drive, damaged homes and sent five people to the hospital.

In the aftermath, several homes remain under evacuation orders as crews continue working to secure the area. Officials say temporary housing has been arranged through nearby Airbnb accommodations to assist displaced families and their pets.

Barricades are still in place to restrict through traffic while investigators and utility crews remain on scene. A dedicated case manager with CPS Energy has also been assigned to assist residents with questions and recovery needs.
