Northwest Side residents will soon be able to “eat mor chikin.”
Chick-fil-A will open yet another San Antonio location, but it will be a little while before locals can indulge in chicken sandwiches and waffle fries. Construction on the 5,000-square-foot restaurant will start in November 2027 and finish in April 2028, a state filing shows.
The restaurant will be at 8889 Bandera Road in the Leon Valley area near O.P. Schnabel Park. It will cost $4.5 million and include a drive-thru and outdoor area.
Chick-fil-A has nearly 40 locations in the San Antonio area, including one further north on Bandera Road near Loop 1604. The Atlanta-based chain announced plans in February to open two more San Antonio locations — one on Broadway between Alamo Heights and the Pearl and another in a shopping center on the city’s far Northwest Side.
