EAST TEXAS, Texas (KETK) — East Texas communities are hosting a variety of Halloween events for all ages, including trunk or treat events, costume contests, haunted houses and more. Many local businesses, churches and organizations are participating in the festivities, which will take place throughout the week of Halloween.

From family-friendly events to adult-only parties, there is something for everyone to enjoy!

Athens

Oct. 29: Bel Air Elementary is hosting a Trunk or Treat with games, candy, animals and food vendors.

Oct. 30: First State Bank is hosting a Trunk or Treat event for children to come in costume and enjoy treats, starting at 6:30 p.m.

Oct. 31: Freelancers Cafe is hosting a Halloween Mash for all ages, as well as an adults’ Halloween party afterwards.

Oct. 31: Athens VFW Post 7103 is hosting a Halloween Costume Party with cash prizes, free snacks and karaoke.

JacksonvilleKilgore

Oct. 30 to Oct. 31: Imminent Doom is a haunted house in Kilgore, not recommended to children under 10.

Oct. 31: FBC will be hosting their Fall Fest starting at 5 p.m., inviting families for trick-or-treating, games and several booths.

Oct. 31: Kilgore College will be having a Fairy Tales and Folklore-themed Trunk or Treat event.

Longview

Oct. 29: The Candy Parade is a parade route for kids to receive candy, hosted by Mobberly Baptist Church, starting at 6 p.m.

Oct. 30 to Oct. 31: Electric Cowboy is hosting 18+ Halloween costume contests with prizes.

Oct. 30 to Nov. 1: Graystone Scream Park is a haunted attraction featuring multiple haunted houses, not recommended for children under 10.

Oct. 31: Longview Mall will be hosting a Candy Crawl, inviting kids to dress up and trick-or-treat with participating retailers.

Oct. 31: Toyota of Longview is hosting their Trunk or Treat with a costume contest and prizes.

Lufkin

Oct. 30: Angelina Mental Health is hosting a Trunk or Treat for children starting at 3 p.m.

Oct. 31: America’s Car-Mart will be hosting a Trunk or Treat event for kids to enjoy treats and games.

Oct. 31: Alene’s Florist & Home Decor is hosting a Trunk or Treat starting at 5 p.m. featuring candy, games and music.

Oct. 31: Texas Nutrition is hosting a Halloween Bash, featuring permanent jewelry, books, cookies, a costume contest, free face painting, food and more.

Oct. 31: VFW Post 1836 is hosting a family friendly Halloween Party featuring cocktails, dancing, music and more.

Oct 31: Skate Ranch is hosting an adult only Halloween Skate Party encouraging people to come in costume and enjoy skating, food and drinks.

Mineola

Oct. 30: Bob Wells Nursey is hosting Trick or Treat at Market Nights, with movies, vendors, local produce and food trucks.

Oct. 31: The Historic Select Theater District will be hosting a free screening of the movie Child of Glass at 5 p.m., followed by a $6 double feature screening of Halloween and Halloween 2 and finished off with a $5 screening of The Exorcist.

Oct. 31 to Nov. 1: Back to Life Haunted House is a haunted house nestled in a historic funeral home and will be having their season finale.

Nacogdoches

Oct. 31: Nacogdoches Police Department is hosting its 4th annual Trunk or Treat event at Nacogdoches High School, starting at 5 p.m.

Oct. 31: Skate O Rama is hosting a Halloween Skate Party, featuring a costume contest, giveaways and more.

Texarkana

Oct. 29: BOO at the Barn at Runnin’ WJ Ranch will have hayrides, decorated horse stalls, candy and games.

Oct. 31: The Wild Hare and Lost Pizza Co. are having a downtown Trunk or Treat a costume contest, treats, vendors and a kids tent.

Tyler

Oct. 30 to 31: Buck Wild is hosting a Halloween party with a costume contest, dancing, drinks and more.

Oct. 30 and Nov. 1: Corpse Grove is a Tyler haunted house, not recommended for children under 12, with locations in Chapel Hill, Hawkins and Mineola.

Oct. 31: XL’N Pool Hall & Club is hosting Nightmare on Fifth Street, featuring a cash prize costume contest, live music and drinks.

Oct. 31 to Nov. 1: The World of Khaos Haunted House is a Tyler haunted house, open on Friday and Saturday with tickets available for purchase at 7 p.m. both nights.
