SAN ANTONIO – South Texas Blood & Tissue is offering donors a chance to trade a life-saving donation for a vacation through its “Texas Vines and Beach Getaway Sweepstakes.”
Through May 4, donors who schedule an appointment can enter to win one of two getaway packages:
Vines: A two-night stay at Onera Fredericksburg in Texas wine country (Promo code: VINES).Beach: A two-night stay at Margaritaville Beach Resort in South Padre Island (Promo code: BEACH).
“Type O blood is the most common type in South Texas,” the organization stated, noting that certain Type O units can be used in emergencies.
Appointments can be made at SouthTexasBlood.org or by calling 833-YOU-GIVE. Donors must present a photo ID and complete a health questionnaire at the time of their appointment.
