LLANO, Texas — A substitute teacher has been arrested on a felony charge of improper relationship between an educator and a student, the Llano County Sheriff’s Office announced.
Angela Palmares was taken into custody in Bell County without incident after investigators worked with the Texas Department of Public Safety Fusion Center and the Bell County Sheriff’s Office to locate her. She faces a second-degree felony charge.

The Llano Independent School District notified the sheriff’s office of the alleged relationship Tuesday. The district immediately removed Palmares from its list of available substitutes, and investigators obtained an arrest warrant the following day.
