For the third time on Day 3 of the 2026 NFL Draft, the Miami Dolphins have called the name of a Texas Longhorn. The Dolphins drafted UT offensive guard DJ Campbell with the 200th pick in the 6th round. Miami also drafted EDGE Trey Moore and safety Michael Taaffe earlier today. The trio joins Quinn Ewers in South Beach.\

A stalwart on the Longhorns’ offensive line, Campbell appeared in 50 games at Texas and started 43 at right guard Campbell and made 41 starts. Over the last few years, Campbell has been tasked with protecting Ewers and Arch Manning. Both quarterbacks have had success with the Bowie High Alum serving as a key piece.

The Dolphins didn’t originally have a sixth-round pick when they entered the 2026 NFL draft, but they got one in a pick swap with the Carolina Panthers.

Campbell, 22, was a five-star recruit out of Bowie High School in Arlington, Texas. He committed to the University of Texas and spent four seasons with the Longhorns, earning All-SEC honors once.
