EL PASO, TEXAS (KFOX14/CBS4) — The City of El Paso invited residents to welcome war veterans as they returned home from their Honor Flight.
On Saturday, April 25, at 4 p.m., veterans of the Korean War and Vietnam War landed in El Paso after their journey on their Rio Grande Honor Flight to Washington, D.C.
The trip offered veterans the opportunity to visit national memorials built in their honor as they embraced moments of reflection and healing.
The city also encouraged people to take flags and signs with messages of appreciation to celebrate the veterans and their service.
