A 58-year-old man from El Paso was shot multiple times while riding a motorcycle in Midland.
According to a press statement from the Midland Police Department, officers responded at about 8:59 a.m. Saturday, April 25, to what appeared to be a crash in the 2500 block of West Loop 250. MPD reported that when officers arrived, they found the man had been shot multiple times while riding a motorcycle on the loop.
“The man was transported to Midland Memorial by EMS and later went into surgery,” MPD said. “During the investigation, it was found that the victim is a Mongol OMG member.”
Police said witnesses were identified, the on-call crimes against persons detective took over the investigation, crime scene investigators were notified, and traffic officers were called to direct traffic on the loop. MPD said the man underwent surgery and was listed in stable condition.
