Country music icon George Strait returned to Lubbock, Texas, for a two-night concert series at Texas Tech University’s Jones AT&T Stadium starting Friday, April 24, 2026. The highly anticipated performances mark a rare appearance for the artist in the Hub City, drawing massive crowds of fans and alumni.
The event featured a rotating lineup of supporting artists across the two dates. The April 24 show included performances by Zach Top and Dylan Gossett, while the April 25 lineup featured country legend Miranda Lambert and rising star Hudson Westbrook. Top was recently recognized as the 2025 ACM New Male Artist of the Year.
Lubbock Fire Rescue noted the high energy of the event on social media during the Friday night performance. The department’s presence was visible as the stadium reached capacity for the legendary artist often referred to as “The King.”

All parking lots east of Jones AT&T Stadium remained closed to the public through April 27 to accommodate production equipment. Fans were required to pre-purchase parking for the C-1 Commuter West lot via the university’s online portal.
The supporting acts brought significant accolades to the Lubbock stage. Miranda Lambert remains the most-awarded artist in Academy of Country Music history, while Hudson Westbrook joined the tour following his recognition as a Billboard Country Rookie of the Month in late 2024.
