Allen is getting ready for one of its signature cultural events of the year. The Allen Arts Festival returns May 8–10, 2026, at Watters Creek Village, bringing together more than 100 local and national artists for a weekend of visual art, live performances and family-friendly activities timed around Mother’s Day.
The festival blends large-scale exhibitions with interactive experiences, making it accessible for both art enthusiasts and casual visitors.
Across the weekend, attendees can explore artist booths, enjoy live music on multiple stages and take part in hands-on programming. Featured elements include a Student Showcase, a Juried Art Competition and Chalk the Walk, where artists transform outdoor spaces into temporary works of art.
Saturday’s lineup also includes a Crafter’s Corner market, highlighting handmade goods and smaller-scale creators.
A Long-Standing Local Arts Presence
The event is organized by the Allen Arts Alliance, a nonprofit that has supported the local arts community for nearly three decades. Through grants, programming and public events, the organization has played a central role in expanding access to the arts in Allen and creating opportunities for both emerging and established artists.
The festival is part of a larger stretch of cultural programming across the city. Allen recently hosted its Texas District 3 Congressional Art Exhibition, featuring student work from across the region, with the winning piece advancing to display in Washington, D.C.
The city is also celebrating its 150th anniversary this year with events that include mural installations, live performances and community showcases.
