EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — A local urban planning group is inviting the community to a series of public meetings to discuss the future of transportation improvement projects.
The El Paso Metropolitan Planning Organization announced it will be holding meetings to review its plan for El Paso’s transportation systems for the next 26 years, inviting the public to learn about the projects and provide their feedback.
“So, what we do is that when we look into the future all the way to 2052, we base a lot of our analysis on projections, future projections of population and employment growth,” said Eduardo Calvo, the executive director of the EPMPO. “So, collectively we put together ideas or projects to help us address congestion in the future, safety, economic development, and other concerns.”
