Love’s Travel Stops is a mega truck stop chain headquartered in Oklahoma City that has been operational for more than 60 years. The brand’s highway respites include both country stores and travel stops, with added amenities including partnerships with restaurant chains like Bojangles, Dunkin, McDonald’s and Taco John’s.

While the business isn’t new to Texas, it is pouring millions into revitalizing some of its Lone Star outposts. Project filings registered with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation late last week outlined two multimillion-dollar renovations underway at Love’s travel stores in Dalhart and Dumas, both located in the Texas Panhandle’s High Plains.

The two projects detail an estimated $3 million renovation planned at each location, with the $6 millions shelled out at remodeling the two travel centers and revitalizing the food services offered, per project documents. Under preliminary project timelines, both renovations are slated to begin in early August 2026 and wrap around early December 2026. Both project costs and construction timelines are estimates and subject to change.

Zooming out statewide, the duo truck stops are part of nearly two dozen Love’s locations statewide, including stops in Dallas, Luling, Seguin and Beaumont.
