More than 30 years later, soccer legends from the U.S. and Brazil will reunite to host a World Cup rematch in Arlington dubbed Revival 94.
The rematch will play on May 17 at Choctaw Stadium in Arlington, where soccer legends Tab Ramos, John Harkes, Marcelo Balboa, Romario and Bebeto will face each other. FC Dallas star Kenny Cooper will also be in attendance.
The reunion visits the famous 1994 World Cup match between the United States of America and soccer giants Brazil on Independence Day.
Unfortunately, the USA ultimately fell short in a 1-0 defeat.
“Given all the circumstances — it was U.S. Independence Day, we were down to 10 men, and they came at us hard and created chances. Fortunately, we managed to score and move forward on our path to the title.”
Bebeto went on to say it may have been the most difficult match during their World Cup run.
Tickets will go on sale for the fans starting at $15 on Tuesday, April 28, at 9 a.m.
The day is full of entertainment and festivities. The morning of the match, players from both sides will host a soccer clinic on the field.
The partner for the clinic TOPSoccer, is a program for children and adults with intellectual, emotional and physical disabilities.
