Starting April 28, 2026 and lasting for six weeks, Hat Creek will sell the Pitmaster Stack, a new burger featuring Terry Black’s brisket and barbecue sauce.
“Texas has two food religions: barbecue and burgers,” Drew Gressett, founder and president of Hat Creek Burger Company, said via email. “For as long as anyone can remember, they have lived in separate lanes.”
The Pitmaster Stack is a beef burger patty topped with chopped brisket and barbecue sauce from Terry Black’s, then stacked with cheddar cheese, pickles and onion rings. It’s served on a Martin’s potato roll.
The burger costs $11.49. For a combo — with fries and a drink — it’s $16.48.
The Pitmaster Stack will be sold at all of Hat Creek’s 26 restaurants, including 11 in Dallas-Fort Worth. The burger will not be sold at any of Terry Black’s nine restaurants. (Two are in North Texas: one in Dallas and one in Fort Worth.)
The limited-time menu also brings back onion rings as a side at Hat Creek, for $4.49, and two sizes of a new banana pudding shake, priced at $4.99 or $5.99.
