ANTHONY, TEXAS (KFOX14/CBS4) — Gadsden Independent School District’s Board of Education has selected Nubia Tarazona as the district’s next superintendent after a search process that included community input, stakeholder engagement and formal interviews with finalists.
Tarazona, who has served as Gadsden ISD’s interim superintendent over the past several months, was chosen to lead the district following what the board described as a comprehensive selection process.
The district said Tarazona brings a background in educational leadership and a commitment to student achievement, equity and community engagement.
“On behalf of the Board of Education, we are proud to welcome Nubia Tarazona to Gadsden ISD,” Board President Christian Lira said. “We are confident that this leadership will help guide our district forward and support the success of every student.”
The district said additional details about the transition will be released later.
