The post on X said police are “working a possible barricaded person near the 3500 block of N. Juliet Lane.”
Officers were investigating a burglary call when a shots-fired call was reported, the post said. Multiple law enforcement resources are currently at the location.
“The public is advised to avoid the area, as we have several roadblocks in place,” the post said.
Shortly after 1:15 p.m., police posted on X they are searching for a man in the area. The man could possibly be armed, according to authorities.
Authorities urged people residing in or near the Summerfields subdivision located to the North of Basswood Boulevard and North Riverside Drive to stay securely indoors.
