San Antonio police reported fewer DWI arrests during Fiesta this year.
They made 114 DWI arrests during this year’s celebrations, which ran from April 16 through April 26. That total is down from 141 in 2025, and exactly the same as recorded in 2024, according to police data.
The 2026 total marked a drop of about 19 percent from last year.
This year’s 11-day stretch of Fiesta included major events such as Fiesta Oyster Bake, A Night in Old San Antonio, the Battle of Flowers Parade and the Fiesta Flambeau Parade.
The Texas Cavalier’s River Parade was canceled due to the rain April 20, as well as that night of Fiesta de los Reyes, as people were urged not travel due to flash flooding throughout the city.
More than 4 inches of rain was recorded on the day of the cancellation, according to National Weather Service data.
