The day will begin mostly cloudy with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m., according to the National Weather Service’s Fort Worth office. High temperatures during the day are expected to top out near 72 degrees before dropping to 61 degrees at night. 

There is a 20% chance of showers after 7 p.m., the weather service said. 

The forecast for the next couple of days calls a continued chance of showers and thunderstorms before sunshine returns this weekend to Dallas-Fort Worth. The weather is expected to be cool for the rest of the week with day temperatures in the 60s and 70s.
