Majesty Outdoors’ new facility in Flour Bluff aims to expand mentorship and support for fatherless youth and single mothers, marking a milestone in their mission.
CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A Coastal Bend nonprofit focused on supporting fatherless youth and single mothers is expanding its reach with the opening of a new facility in Flour Bluff.
Majesty Outdoors will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony Thursday, April 30, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. for its new location, known as “The Garden Commission,” at 715 Yorktown Blvd. The event is being hosted by the Flour Bluff Business Association and is open to the public.
The new site spans 8.5 acres and includes a renovated, more than 13,000-square-foot former monastery. Leaders say the space will serve as a central hub for youth mentorship and family support through the organization’s TideChangers program.
Majesty Outdoors provides mentorship, outdoor experiences and life skills training to fatherless youth and single mothers across the Coastal Bend and San Antonio. The nonprofit’s mission is to break cycles of fatherlessness and help build stronger families.
Organizers say the new facility represents a significant step forward in that effort, allowing them to expand programming, train mentors and offer more hands-on learning opportunities for youth in the region.
The project also received support through Coastal Bend Day of Giving funding, helping make the expansion possible.
Thursday’s event will include family-friendly activities, with community members expected to attend alongside special appearances, including the Chick-fil-A Cow mascot.
Leaders say the opening is not just a celebration of a new building, but a milestone in their mission to restore and strengthen families across South Texas.
