LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – A mobile home is damaged after the Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office says a discarded cigarette sparked a fire overnight.
Just after 2 a.m., Wolfforth Fire and Woodrow volunteer firefighters responded to the 2000 block of CR 7220 for reports of a mobile home on fire.
LSO says crews were able to get everyone out of the home safely.
After an investigation, it was determined the fire was started by a discarded cigarette near the front porch.
The fire has since been contained and the Red Cross is assisting the homeowners.
