EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A chartered flight from Florida lands in El Paso ahead of two BTS shows on Wednesday evening, April 29, at the El Paso International Airport, where multiple tour buses and limousine vans were seen waiting nearby.
Airport cameras captured a large group of passengers disembarking the aircraft and boarding the waiting vehicles, suggesting an organized arrival. According to FlightAware data, a Boeing 777 departed Florida earlier in the day on a nonstop route to El Paso. Airport sources confirmed the aircraft type and flight path to KTSM 9 News.
A group of BTS fans, known as ARMY, gathered to watch the buses leave the airport. Fans held their phones, hoping to catch a glimpse of group.
The arrival comes ahead of the highly anticipated two-night performance by global pop group BTS at the Sun Bowl this weekend.
BTS held multiple shows in Tampa for its “ARIRANG” tour from April 25–28.
According to UTEP’s Special Events Director, more than 400 production crew members will be working the shows at the Sun Bowl. In addition, over 1,000 event staff have been hired separately to support operations.
KTSM 9 News is working to confirm whether the internationally renowned band was on board the flight that arrived Wednesday evening.
