Witnesses claimed that during the argument, Reyes aggressively approached a 10-year-old child and intentionally stomped on their foot, causing injury.
Officials stated that due to the age of the victim and the nature of the offense, emergency medical personnel responded to evaluate the child.
Officers documented visible injuries.
Additional witnesses on scene confirmed the incident, including statements that Reyes admitted to stomping on the child’s foot.
A family member declined to press charges on Reyes, but officers filed charges on behalf of the State of Texas.
Reyes was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility and is being charged with Injury to a Child with Intent to Cause Bodily Injury.
Due to prior felony convictions, he was issued no bond and remains in custody pending further court proceedings.
