EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — A 35-year-old wanted man was arrested on Tuesday after law enforcement learned he was at an apartment complex in South Central El Paso.

According to the El Paso County Constable’s Office Precinct #6, Jose Angel Enriquez Jr., wanted for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, was arrested Tuesday morning, after deputy constables pulled him over after seeing him leave an apartment complex located near where Alameda Avenue and North Seville Drive intersect, close to Ascarate Park.

The traffic stop was done half a mile from the apartment complex at the intersection of Delta Drive and Tangier Place.

After Enriquez Jr. was pulled over, deputy constables described running a warrant check and confirming that Enriquez had two outstanding warrants.

Jail records show Enriquez Jr. was booked into the El Paso County Downtown jail under a zero bond and reveal that the warrants stem from an incident from June 16, 2021.
