Runners kick off the start of the fifth annual Trooper Chad Walker 5K Beach Run at the south jetty in Port Aransas on Saturday, April 25. The run is named after Chad Walker, a former state trooper in Corpus Christi who was fatally shot in 2021. All proceeds from the run benefited the DPS Troopers Foundation.
