After days of facing severe weather, the Dallas-Fort Worth region can expect a cool, rainy Thursday.
With a cloudy start to the day, temperatures are expected to top out only in the upper 60s before plunging to a low near 53 degrees at night, according to the National Weather Service’s Fort Worth office. There is a 60% chance of precipitation with showers and thunderstorms likely after 4 p.m.
Rainfall amounts can range between a tenth and quarter of an inch, but higher amounts are possible . At night, there are showers in the forecast, mainly after 1 a.m.
Friday is expected to continue the streak of wet weather in North Texas with showers and thunderstorms in the forecast.
The region might see some sunshine over the weekend. The weather is going to be cool and breezy the next few days before 80-degree days return next week.
