A crude oil tanker crash in West Plano prompted hazmat efforts, as firefighters aim to contain a leak and prevent oil contamination in storm drains.
PLANO, Texas — Plano firefighters are responding to a major crash involving a crude oil tanker in West Plano.
The accident happened at the intersection of Spring Creek Parkway and Windhaven. According to Plano Fire Department officials, the crash involved a small tanker truck carrying crude oil and another vehicle.
Hazmat crews are on scene working to contain a leak from the tanker and prevent the oil from entering nearby storm drains.
Two people were transported to the hospital from the scene and are reported to be in stable condition.
