Dallas Trinity FC came away from a road match against DC Power FC with a 1-1 draw on Friday at Audi Field.

The point moved Dallas to 9-7-10 with 34 points on the season, as the club holds the fourth and final USL Super League playoff spot with just two matches remaining. Dallas took a 1-0 lead on a goal from Bethany Balcer in the 52nd minute, but Ellie Gilbert equalized for DC in the 79th minute to secure a crucial point for her club, which remains in 5th place in the standings.

The goals came after a scoreless first half. Dallas’ Tyler McCamey registered three saves on a couple of big chances for DC to help keep the game level heading into the break.

The draw helped Dallas maintain a one-point lead over Power FC in the standings, setting up an incredibly important final two games of the season for both sides. A slip up by either team will likely cost it a playoff spot. Trinity FC will next play the Tampa Bay Sun on Saturday, May 9 at 6:30 p.m. at Riverfront Stadium in Tampa, Florida.
