EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. (KKTV) – UPDATE (10/29/25): The victim of a homicide under investigation in northern El Paso County has been identified.
The El Paso County Coroner’s Office has identified the man found dead near Eastonville and Hodgen Roads on Monday as 38-year-old Jeremy Campbell.

According to arrest papers for the suspect in the case, Campbell was an Uber driver who picked the suspect up before she allegedly killed him, left him in a field and stole his vehicle.
11 News spoke with the family of Campbell on Tuesday, who said they did not want to comment at the time.
ORIGINAL COVERAGE (10/27/25): The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office (EPSO) said a suspect has been arrested in connection with a homicide in an area between Black Forest and Peyton.
According to EPSO, their investigation was in the area of Eastonville and Hodgen Roads, near the Woodlake Trailhead.
EPSO said deputies received a report of a person missing from an address near Cimarron Hills at around 3:45 Monday morning. Investigation into that case led them to locate a vehicle on Spectrum Loop, near the Ford Amphitheater in Colorado Springs.
According to EPSO, deputies then received a tip that led them to the area of Eastonville and Hodgen, where they found a man dead.
Monday evening, the sheriff’s office said 27-year-old Khayla Dawson was arrested in connection with the homicide and charged with first-degree murder, aggravated robbery and motor vehicle theft.
The sheriff’s office is continuing to investigate this incident.
