Plano police are investigating a traffic accident that left a 69-year-old pedestrian dead Friday night.
Officers responded to reports of a crash about 8:50 p.m. in the 6700 block of Alma Drive, police said in a statement.
Investigators determined a gray Toyota pickup was traveling northbound on Alma Drive when it struck a pedestrian while he was crossing near Seabrook Drive.
The pedestrian, identified as Al-Nasir Jinnah, 69, sustained significant injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by Plano Fire-Rescue, police said. No other individuals were injured during the crash.
Police said neither speed nor intoxication is suspected to have contributed to the accident at this time.
