AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA/Gray News) – Two teenagers were killed and 10 other people were injured in a shooting early Saturday morning in Amarillo, Texas.
The Amarillo Police Department said the shooting happened at a gathering with minors and young adults. The party began at one location and later moved to an apartment building.
Police said preliminary information indicates several people were asked to leave the original party location and they later followed the party to the apartment building. They tried to enter and opened fire with a rifle-style weapon.

One of the two deceased victims has been identified as 17-year-old Ezekiel Rudy Almazan.
In a GoFundMe, Ezekial’s mother wrote, “There are no words that can truly express the pain in my heart right now. Ezekiel was more than my son—he was my joy, my strength, and a beautiful blessing in my life. Anyone who knew him knows how much love he carried and how deeply he touched the people around him.”
A second victim, a 16-year-old male has not been publicly identified.
Police believe there are two suspects, but their ages are unknown and no arrests have been made.
The shooting appears to be targeted and the suspects were known to at least one person at the gathering, police said.
A Glock 9mm handgun was found outside the apartment, and investigators believe multiple weapons were used based on evidence collected at the scene.
Police are urging anywone with doorbell or surveillance video from the early morning hours is urged to submit it to the Amarillo Police Department.
